Claverton College

Faculty

The clinicians who teach and supervise

Teaching posts and clinical supervision are held by registered audiologists and speech-language pathologists. The intake is small, and clinical work is reviewed individually.

Who will teach the programme

Appointments for the 2027 intake are being completed against the Rehabilitation Council of India’s staffing norm. Names, qualifications and RCI registration numbers will be published here before the session begins.

Why faculty credentials matter here

In a regulated clinical profession, faculty registration is not a formality — supervised clinical hours must be signed off by RCI-registered professionals. The Council sets minimum staffing for every recognised programme, and requires valid RCI registration for every core academic and clinical post. Publishing faculty registration numbers is one of the clearest credibility signals a B.ASLP college can give, and worth asking every college for.

A programme cannot start without at least two core faculty and four clinical staff in speech-language pathology and audiology. Two more faculty must join before the second year, and the full complement before the third. The programme must be headed by a full-time audiologist or speech-language pathologist at associate professor level, and every core academic and clinical post requires valid RCI registration.

The Council sets its minimum staffing, space and equipment norms against two intake bands, 20 and 40 students, and caps a B.ASLP intake at 40. An institution may apply to increase its intake only after one batch has completed the programme.
